Gar linked this goodie to me at work today. A gixxer forum (GSX-R bike forum) member posted a question which seemed of fail @ first…
1st post (sti2gxr):
“My bike was running like crap on my way home from work so I stopped at a gas station to get some NOS. I poured in 2 bottles and rode it home. Well I don’t think it helped because it ran even worse on the way home and now it won’t start. Any ideas?”
one of the replies:
“Yeah, one of those bottles treats between 12 and 17 gallons of fuel. You put two bottles in a 3.x gallon tank = you’re going to have to flush that.
unless you used the NOS energy drink instead of injector cleaner, then you’ve really done it…”
Epic fail in 3.. 2.. 1..
“It wasn’t an energy drink. The bottles were blue and looked just like a NOS bottle”
Hmmm, bottles were blue… HMMM… Original thread (read through the first few pages, some nice images are there as well, haha): Bike won’t start after adding NOS fuel additive.
At first, I thought it was a joke. However, upon further reading, it seems like this guy is just an idiot… another post of his: Did my GF F up my bike? Poked intake valve and opened them up”.
Sorry, sti2gxr, but you just failed… epicly.
Of course, the guys on “Myth Busters” busted the whole sugar in the gas tank myth (putting a bunch of sugar into some american engine, I think), so the GSX-R guy probably just have to flush out the crap from the system… maybe he’ll use actual fuel system cleaner this time, haha.
And I thought some of the members on the forums I frequent were bad… great laugh, though, THANKS!
